Three years of EU Gateway | Business Avenues missions and the Construction & Building Technologies sector is more dynamic than ever.
The two markets targeted by the four EU-funded missions, Japan and South East Asia, are the epicentre of growth in Asia, generating countless opportunities for the bold companies willing to tackle them.
128 ground-breaking participating companies already made their way to Asia, and more will join the growing number of European companies which have established reputable brands that sell locally. This week, the 2020 mission to South East Asia is taking place virtually: pre-arranged and spontaneous B2B meetings happen at PHILCONSTRUCT 2020 virtual tradeshow, ensuring participant safety during the COVID-19 pandemic and the right conditions to still drive businesses forward.
Even in a short time span, since 2018, results are made known: new jobs were created in Europe and participants declared an increase in turnover as a result of their participation in a mission. The 2018 market scoping mission to Japan alone generated over 90 job openings, 2 business deals signed on the spot, with 70% of the respondents to our survey establishing new business or expecting to do so shortly after.
