Singapore imports more than 90% of the food it consumes and its organic food & beverage market is expected to reach € 208.1 million by 2021.

With heavy reliance on food imports, a health conscious, wealthy, and expatriate population, opportunities are high for organic food and beverage products in Singapore.

Thailand has seen a steady increase in the organic food and beverage market over the past four years, as a result of increasing health consciousness and growing demand from high-income consumers.

Products from Europe are generally considered as quality premium products, and European companies can leverage on from the strong branding of the EU’s organic label.

The market size for organic food and beverages in Thailand in 2017 was € 13.69 million. Top consumer preferences in Thailand include organic rice, tea, apples, dried fruits and nuts.
