China is becoming the largest market for clean technology products and services in the world. The country’s soaring air pollution, resource scarcity and climate change problems are common knowledge. Since 2009, China has become the world’s largest clean technology investor and is slowly taking on an innovator role as well.
The most recent 13th Five Year Plan highlights China’s intent to dominate clean technology markets domestically and internationally. In recent years, the nation has caught up to the European Union on clean energy investment per capita.
EU Gateway | Business Avenues is an EU funded programme that helps European companies establish long-lasting business relationships in Asia. Selected companies participate in a one week business mission, where they benefit from pre-arranged meetings with potential business partners, and the opportunity to showcase their products and technologies during a two-day exhibition. Before the business mission takes place, companies receive market intelligence, advice on approaching the market, and business coaching.
From 11-15 June 2018, EU Gateway | Business Avenues takes selected European companies to Beijing for a EU-funded business mission on Environment & Water Technologies, covering many of the subsectors included under Clean Technologies. If your company meets the eligibility criteria, apply online by 23 February 2018.
