Business Missions

Between 2009 and 2014, EU Gateway organised a total of 46 business missions to Japan and Korea (see the table below for more details on sectors, number of participants and the latest business mission programme).

To make the missions a success, EU Gateway is coaching participating companies all along and provides logistical as well as financial support. Meetings between the European companies and the local business community are one of the key elements of the EU Gateway missions. They enable the participants to build their network, increase their understanding of the local market and eventually find business partners. Ahead of the missions, EU Gateway approached in total 28 000 Korean and Japanese business representatives. This huge effort resulted in 22 000 actual meetings!
